About us
EspacioSeco started with a very common problem: black spots on the walls, closets that smell musty, laundry that never quite dries and windows dripping with condensation every morning. We want to help you find the fix fast, without jargon and without overspending.
Who we are
EspacioSeco is an independent editorial project focused on home humidity and indoor climate. We research, compare and write practical guides so anyone can understand what is going on in their home and which product (or habit) solves it.
We are not a store or a manufacturer, and we don’t sell anything directly. Our links take you to Amazon.com, where you can compare prices, read reviews and buy with Amazon’s shipping and return policies.
- Solve your problem, not upsell you. If a few dollars’ worth of moisture absorbers will do the job, we’ll tell you.
- Explain the why. Knowing whether your damp comes from condensation, rising damp or a leak saves money and frustration.
- Be transparent. Below we explain how we make money and how we choose every product.
How we choose products
Our work is research and comparison. In every guide we look at:
- Spec sheets: product type (desiccant packs, thermoelectric, compressor, desiccant-wheel), moisture removal or absorption capacity, tank size and recommended room size.
- Energy use: how much it adds to your electric bill and whether it has auto shut-off or an eco mode.
- Noise: key if it will run in a bedroom or overnight.
- Thousands of verified reviews from real buyers, especially the negative ones, to spot recurring issues: leaks, breakdowns, odors, tanks that fill up too fast.
- Stock checks: we regularly check availability on Amazon.com and remove out-of-stock products from our lists, replacing them with the best available alternative.
- Our score is editorial: the rating on each product is EspacioSeco’s assessment based on the criteria above. It is not Amazon’s star average or the result of a measurement.
- We don’t do lab testing and we don’t claim to have tested every product for weeks.
- Nobody pays to be listed. We don’t accept payment from brands or sellers to include, rank or feature a product.
EspacioSeco is supported by affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never affect which products we recommend or how we rank them. Official program disclosure:
EspacioSeco is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
